MACKEYVILLE — Join the Clinton County Conservation District for a fun filled day on Sept. 16 with its annual Farm-City Family Festival at the Clinton County Fairgrounds.
The Farm-City Family Festival celebrates agriculture’s important relationship to its urban neighbors in creating stronger and healthier communities. This free, family-oriented event has lots to offer for all members of the community.
This year the conservation district has added some new ideas.
“We have an inflatable slide as well as a bounce house for younger children, we have axe throwing, a dunk tank and we are planning a corn-hole tournament,” Susie Peters, deputy district manager, said. “This free event has something for everyone!”
The day starts with children’s activities including pumpkin decorating, crafts, a pedal tractor pull and games throughout the day.
Other adult attractions include: craft and business vendors, food vendors, a 50/50 drawing and much, much more.
This year, Bald Eagle Nittany Valley Kiwanis will be joining the conservation district with a game table, the Ross Library will be joining with story-time (every hour) and crafts throughout the day as well as the Penn State Master Gardeners with information packets/programming on ticks.
For those of you with a competitive streak, there will be a milk chugging contest and pie eating contest as well or how about signing up for the corn-hole tournament.
If you are interested in being in the corn-hole tournament, please contact Tasha Yost at 570-726-3798.
For more information please call Peters at the Clinton County Conservation District at 570-726-3798, ext. 3800 or visit https://www.clintoncountypa.gov/departments/conservation-district/farm-city-familyfestival.
